Chocolate Almond Bliss Balls
I have seen many people sell chocolate bliss balls online, and boy, they sure aren't cheap. So I decided to Google for some recipes and see how difficult to make! Turns out they were really really simple. So I decided to try out my own recipe!
I made chocolate almond bliss balls because I feel that amongst all nuts, I think hazelnuts and almonds go the best with chocolate. However, since I did not have any hazelnuts on hand, almonds had to do (not complaining, I LOVE almonds).
I coated some of them with desiccated coconut and some with cocoa powder to give them a nice finishing touch and aesthetic appeal! Personally, I really really liked the coconut ones as I felt that the chocolate coconut combination was really unbeatable.
They are the perfect little snack to curb your mid-day hunger! Don't underestimate the size of these things - they're really packed with all the good stuff to give you the energy-boost you need in the middle of the day! I do hope you try out this simple but healthy and delicious recipe! Enjoy!

CHOCOLATE ALMOND BLISS BALLS
Servings: 9-10
Ingredients:
- 1 cup dates, pitted
- 1 cup almonds (you may use other types of nuts if you want, but almonds worked for me)
- 2 tbsp cacao/cocoa powder (you may put more or less depending on how chocolatey you want them to be, but 2 tbsp is perfect for me)
- Water
- Extra cacao/cocoa powder or desiccated coconut
Method:
- To a food processor, add the almonds. Blend the almonds into a fine powder. Be careful not to overblend the almonds if not you will obtain almond butter.
- Add in the dates and cocoa powder, and blend to combine. A sandy-looking mixture should be formed.
- Add in water little by little until a mouldable dough consistency is reached.
- Scoop out the dough and roll them into balls of desired size.
- Coat them in the extra cacao/cocoa powder before placing them on a parchment paper-lined plate/tray.
- Pop them into the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
